Hello! I’m McKayla, co-owner of Bountiful Doulas. As a mom, certified Postpartum Doula and Gentle Sleep Coach specializing in infant and toddler sleep, I am here to support families through such a lifechanging time - postpartum, and parenthood. Although I've spent 9+ years in the childcare field as a professional Nanny, it wasn’t until I gave birth in 2019 that I became passionate about infancy and the postpartum period specifically. I quickly switched from wanting to only support the children, to wanting to support the parents after realizing what a challenging time the 'Fourth Trimester' can be and that postpartum lasts for much longer than we're often led to believe - if not forever. I have since became hooked on gentle parenting books, living a (somewhat) crunchier lifestyle, and educating myself on all things parenthood and postpartum. I have continued to dedicate my time to furthering my education in childbirth, infant and toddler sleep, postpartum mood disorders, postpartum nutrition, child development, and more. I love being able to help parents and watch their confidence levels grow during our time together, as I get to help teach and guide them through the beginning of parenthood. My goal is to create a nurturing and empowering environment that allows new parents to rest, heal, and bond with their baby. Whether it's helping with household tasks, cooking you a warm meal, providing emotional support, or offering guidance on baby care and feeding, I am here to support families every step of the way. I truly love supporting families and people from all backgrounds, but have a special place in my heart for working with BIPOC, LGBTQ+ families, and/or single parents. In addition to being a certified postpartum doula and gentle sleep coach, McKayla is currently studying to be a CPPNP (certified postpartum nutrition professional) with Postpartum University.
