You should be emptying your bladder as much as possible during labor

It is so important to empty your bladder regularly in labor. But why?

A full bladder can prevent baby from descending into the pelvis, inefficient contractions, discomfort, and even long-term bladder issues.

Plus, an added benefit of emptying your bladder is that sitting on the toilet will help you dilate. There’s a good reason it is called the dilation station!
