PSA for all those glowing #pregnant peeps out there! πŸ€°πŸΏπŸ€°πŸΌπŸ«„πŸΌπŸ€°πŸ»πŸ«„πŸΏπŸ«ƒπŸ»πŸ«„πŸ»πŸ«ƒπŸΎ

It can be so exciting to find out you’re a few centimeters dilated at the end of #pregnancy …the πŸ”‘, though, is to not feel discouraged if #labor doesn’t start soon. πŸ₯°

Research tells us that cervical change can be a possible indicator that #laborinduction may be more likely to wind up in a #vaginalbirth but whatever the cervix is doing during the #endofpregnancy does not actually indicate when #laboring will begin OR how long the #birthprocess will be. πŸ’œ

Bottom line:
➑️ You don’t want a #cervicalexam at the end of pregnancy? That’s absolutely your decision to make.
➑️ Planning an #inductionoflabor and want to see if your cervix has started to change? Go for the exam if you want to!
➑️ Having any other feelings about consenting to an exam? Hopefully this info is helpful!
