“I went over early because she was really struggling. The nurses couldn't get baby to latch with a shield while she was in the hospital but we got baby to latch on both breasts without the shield YAY!
I made her some food and kept her hydrated, encouraged her to take a long shower and sent her to bed.
Baby slept for 3 hour increments and then for a 1/2 hour was just moving a bit so I let her sleep more - so she got a total of 7 hours of sleep YAY!
I helped her through feedings, taught her a good swaddle, confirmed a paci was OK, showed her ways to burp, and also how to relieve gas.
She felt much more confident when I left ❤️
She texted me last night that she wanted me to come tonight - but this morning said her night was better and she wants to try again tonight. Yay, progress!” 💃🏽
