Sun Tips with a Newborn☀️☀️☀️
☀️ Get outside early! The sun isn’t as strong in the morning hours AND our bodies benefit greatly from early morning sun exposure. Does wonders for sleep !
🌳 Find a tree or shady spot to rest or feed baby if needed. If you’re walking on a trail or sidewalk, try to pick a more shaded route!
🧢 If you’re going to be out for an extended period of time, bring a hat and extra layer of clothing to protect baby from the sun. Be smart! A 20 minute walk to get some Vit D is amazing, but if you’re heading out to the park for 2 hours that’s a different story🫶
🧣Don’t cover baby’s car seat or stroller with a blanket if it’s hot out! This traps heat in and actually raises the temperature by a lot- not safe for baby!
☂️ Bring an umbrella! This will come in handy if you’re not able to find shade or if it rains (ha!) keep one handy in the storage of the stroller or in your car.
The sun is an incredible source of vitamin D and wonderful to expose your baby too, but just be smart 😉!
