If you’re working with a medical provider for your pregnancy - either an OB or a licensed midwife - there are lots of things to keep you busy in the first weeks of pregnancy. Tests and ultrasounds, visits and paperwork, measurements and blood draws. I think there’s something about this busyness that draws us away from our intuition and the potent spiritual and emotional and work of early pregnancy.
When we continue to look outside ourselves for answers - how is my baby? is my pregnancy healthy? am i doing a good job? - we can lose our autonomy and the freedom to hear our own instincts.
Those to-do lists created by someone else keep us running around chasing someone else’s answers.
But what about in a wild pregnancy? When we have the space to turn inward, when we have the freedom to just BE … then what?
