Did you know...

The way standard medical practices calculate due dates and persuade us to believe something will go wrong if our babies aren’t here by that date is unfair to pregnant people. This is why birth workers/midwives called it an ESTIMATED due date (EDD).
πŸ—“
EDD’s are based on the idea that all menstrual cycles are 28 days and we know this is not true. The average person goes into to labor at 41 weeks + 1 day for first time babies and 40 weeks + 3 days thereafter.

If the American College of obstetricians and gynecologists recommends to NOT disturb a normal healthy pregnancy before 42 completed weeks then why are we allowing ourselves to be induced for non medical related reasons?!?! Your baby knows when they are ready to be born & your body knows when and how to go into labor.
🧠🧐
If you and baby are healthy, are not having any blood pressure issues or any other underlying health conditions etc. then don’t allow your pregnancy to be disturbed prematurely. Decreasing the statistics starts with education and saying no.
