Most women go into pregnancy assuming that there is going to be discomfort, and often that causes them to just accept and quietly bear any pain they feel throughout because it is supposedly inevitable. This is an unfortunate misconception that far too few women ever learn the truth about, but, as it turns out, our bodies ARE built to withstand the things we put them through, and suffering doesn't have to be a given.
Sarah and Desi discuss the ways that strength and endurance can be built throughout pregnancy in ways that will relieve a lot of the pain and difficulty that most women have come to expect as part of both their pregnancy and their labor. They also discuss how to maintain confidence and intimacy throughout your pregnancy, and how learning to listen to your body can help you to be more aware of your needs and your limits.
Desi has 25 years of experience in health and fitness, 2 exercise science related degrees, multiple certifications and is an internationally published author as well as a product designer . She has a passion for empowering women through the joy of movement and she is a Mom to Cruz (11) and Rocket (6).
