Did you skip any of these things while breastfeeding?
Everyone is different, but in many ways we make nursing a baby in our culture way more complicated than it has to be. (And, of course for so many folks it’s made complicated by the stressors of capitalism, patriarchy, and white supremacy that can create serious and substantial barriers to a normal, physiological breastfeeding relationship.)
But if you’re able to be with your baby, you can simply breastfeed. No special routines, tricks, clothing, gadgets, or alarms needed. Sometimes of course those things may make sense, but everyone should know they don’t HAVE to do any of this. It can be simple, and you can trust yourself.
