Breastfeeding/Nursing/Bottle feeding, Doulas -Birth
Master of Public Health, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant
Ah, the joy’s of all of the ‘firsts’: first time moms, first latch, first syringe feed, first skin-to-skin and first successful pump or bottle feed is what gets me going (& more). I love babies and maternal health. My passion for maternal and child health ignited my desire to become a lactation consultant. I enjoy helping babies thrive. I enjoy supporting and advocating for the moms who simply desire to feed their babies. What I love most about being a birth worker is getting to be both parent and baby’s cheerleader. Infant feeding is hard work, but with a great IBCLC; it’s achievable. I started my private practice so that I could make an impact on families in my community through infant feeding. Every parent deserves to be able to feed their child.
This consultation will allow you to receive education and guidance on what to expect during pregnancy regarding breast changes and what to expect after birth.
This consultation will be based on your needs, but does include infant assessment, feeding observations, pumping support (if needed), breasts/nipple assessment and more.
During the Return-to-Work session, we will create a plan that fits your work schedule in order to protect your milk supply.
Follow up visits consist of re-evaluation, checking in on current feeding plan, infant weights, breast/nipple assessment, and more. It is tailored to what’s needed.
