As a private practice lactation consultant originally from Hartford, CT, I am a true northerner at heart but I have also lived in Central Florida off and on since 2006. My husband is a Disney cast member so you will often find me at Epcot or Animal Kingdom with my husband and three children taking advantage of our main gate passes. My passion for lactation began 10 years ago after exclusively breastfeeding my first baby for 14 months. I went on to exclusively breastfeed my next two babies for 2 years each while struggling with PCOS and low thyroid. Going through this experience myself and my youngest being a pandemic baby, I understand the unique struggles and challenges that come with it. My story is similar to the families I help and that drives my passion for being that voice to encourage moms not to give up on their feeding goals even if I am the only voice in their corner. With humble beginnings as a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor, I have the compassion to support mothers during one of the most challenging times without the whitecoat intimidation. You are safe with me, this is a safe space! My approach is friendly, understanding, and non-judgmental. I believe in creating a safe space for mothers to express their concerns and share their experiences. I use evidence-based practices and stay up-to-date with the latest research to provide the best care for my clients. I too have experienced the ups and downs of motherhood (still am) and understand the importance of having a support system throughout this journey. I am here to offer guidance, advice, and encouragement to all mothers, no matter where they are on their breastfeeding journey. Breastfeeding can be challenging, but with the right support and guidance, it can also be a beautiful and empowering experience.
