I’m trained as a Birth and Postpartum Doula, and as a mom of 3 I’m very familiar with the process of birth, as well as the life changes that come with it. I was born in Portugal and LOVE meeting new people and making new friends! I have a Master’s in Public Health & have traveled the world and connected and supported women in Africa, Guatemala, El Salvador, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, Idaho, Texas, and Utah. As a mother who experienced postpartum depression, I am well acquainted with the challenges and adjustments that start once the baby is born, and as a Doula I am here for you! I believe pregnancy and labor are a special/sacred time, therefore it is my goal to help you have the best labor experience (by using physical comfort measures, words of encouragement, meeting the needs of both you & your partner, advocating for the choices made in your birth plan, and helping you find your own strength and peace during labor). When I'm not busy helping a new mom, you can find me trying out a new recipe, playing board games with my kiddos, or taking care of the 'gazillion' plants I have at home. I look forward to working with you, and to helping you feel empowered and prepared for your desired labor & delivery experience. Lets chat soon!
When a new baby comes home, parents can feel like they've been thrown into the deep end. Support from a postpartum doula can help ease the transition for first-time parents.
