Hello, my name is Sabra! I became a doula 4 years ago when I was taking a birthing class for my own birth and everything about birth just fascinated me and I had to learn all of the things! I love being a doula and the whole concept of helping women educate themselves on birth because it empowers woman in the most vulnerable, hard, transformative time of their lives, and we need more of that in this world. Women need to be reminded of the strength and power that we have if we can do the things that are required to help ourselves and that’s what my whole goal is, to give women the tools they need to be powerful, confident, strong, resilient and beautiful!

From the very beginning of my induction, Sabra went above and beyond to support me and my husband. In the days leading up to it, she sent us helpful tips and walked us through what to expect, and she stayed in contact with us throughout the early part of our hospital stay. When my contractions became intense and progress was slow, Sabra came to the hospital in the middle of the night and supported me through hours of labor with position changes, massage, and counterpressure. She worked seamlessly with my husband, giving him the chance to rest while still feeling involved and supported. When I chose to get an epidural, Sabra helped me feel confident in that decision and knew when it was time for us all to rest. When it came time to push, Sabra returned and coached me through effective pushing, position changes, and techniques to help my baby turn. As labor became more intense and my baby’s heart rate began to drop, the room filled quickly with medical staff and the possibility of an emergency C-section was introduced. At 50+ hours of labor, I was exhausted and overwhelmed, but Sabra remained calm, grounded, and reassuring, helping both me and my husband stay focused in a very stressful moment. When I was told I was done pushing and surgery was imminent, Sabra calmly asked if I could try one more push. That final push brought my baby into the world safely — avoiding an unnecessary emergency C-section. I truly believe that would not have happened without her advocacy. After delivery, when my baby was taken to the warmer and I was terrified, Sabra stayed by my side, comforting me, checking on my baby, and even taking photos to reassure me until I could finally hold my baby. Her presence in those moments meant everything. Sabra has continued to support us postpartum with check-ins, breastfeeding support, and emotional care. She made my pregnancy and birth experience far less scary, empowered me every step of the way, and supported my husband just as deeply. I genuinely don’t know how we would have gotten through this experience without her. I would recommend Sabra wholeheartedly to any pregnant mom and hope to work with her again in the future. We love Sabra 🤍
