I became interested in lactation when I had my first daughter nearly 15 years ago. At the time, I was a neonatal intensive care nurse providing care to complex breastfeeding dyads. Despite my knowledge and experience, nursing my daughter was extremely challenging and I almost quit more than once. I had no support and the IBCLCs at the hospital were of very little help. I continued to work with infants and children and developed my lactation support skills as a certified breastfeeding specialist until I sat for my IBCLC exam in 2022 and opened my own business in early 2023. I am passionate about helping breastfeeding families thrive by supporting them holistically.
