Kristen Sorondo

Orlando Lactation and Newborn Services is the baby of Kristen Sorondo, a Registered Nurse and Certified Lactation Consultant. She is a TOTS trained provider, which enables her to effectively assess possible tethered oral tissues (i.e. tongue and lip ties) and provide appropriate support. Kristen is a mother of four and began her journey in lactation work after facing her own struggles with breastfeeding. Among her offerings are home and virtual visits, prenatal consults, classes and even help with pumping and inducing lactation. In Kristen you will find a professional who truly cares. In addition to helping Central Florida families navigate their breastfeeding journeys, Kristen employs a team of skilled and experienced Registered Nurses who provide in-home newborn care. From feeding to burping to bathing; from education to establishing good sleep habits – they take over one shift at a time so everyone can get some much-needed rest! It’s common for the nurse to become part of the family…helping to make that sweet transition to newborn life a little easier to savor. Upon graduating from nursing school in 2005, Kristen was selected to be part of the opening team for Winnie Palmer Hospital. After several years there, she moved on to help design and direct lactation support services for the newly opened Labor & Delivery unit at Oviedo Medical Center. Armed with confidence, passion and an entrepreneurial heart, Kristen set out on her own in 2020 to help even more families – and Orlando Lactation was born! Soon after, the nursing team was added to fill the great need these families had for overnight help. Today, Orlando Lactation and Newborn Services collectively represents over 200 years of nursing experience and has added a Sleep Training Consultant and Placenta Encapsulation Specialist to the team. Helping to grow things are Office Manager Tracy and Kristen’s oldest daughter Kaitlynn is the company’s Social Media Manager.
