I believe that birth is a normal, natural event that is deserving of respect, support, education and empowerment. As an unbiased birth worker, I help women achieve their birthing goals, whatever they may be. I believe that the "perfect" birth can be achieved by ensuring that all of a woman's needs are met, including her physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs. Every woman and every birth is unique, and should be treated as such. Whether you are induced, receive an epidural, have a cesarean, birth unmedicated, VBAC, or any other way, your birth can benefit from the continuous support I offer. I've been a doula since the beginning of 2017, but have been studying pregnancy, birth and women's reproductive health since the age of 16. I have experience in many clinical settings, including labor and delivery, mother/baby, emergency and surgery. When I'm not doing doula work, I stay home with my four young kids. But when they're older, I'll finish nursing school and go on to pursue a degree as a Certified Nurse Midwife. I dream of one day serving as a bridge between holistic and modern medicine, helping bring women the whole care they deserve, throughout the intense, amazing and transformative process of birth. I serve Utah county and much of Salt Lake county.
