My journey into midwifery began at the age of sixteen when my mother gave birth to her youngest brother at home. While attending my mom’s prenatal appointments I became fascinated by the personalized care a home birth midwife offered. Hearing my brother’s heartbeat and seeing ultrasounds connected me to pregnancy and birth in a way that absolutely mesmerized me. The experience left a lasting impression and from that moment on, I knew I wanted to become a midwife, and help families experience the same sense of love and empowerment.
