Briana Violand

Hello and welcome to Northcoast Lactation & Sleep Services LLC! My name is Briana Violand and I graduated from Tiffin University in 2006 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. After getting married and starting a family, I quickly figured out what makes me whole. With three children, 8 years of breastfeeding, and countless hours of education and training, I officially became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)! I really enjoy helping people, and it is my honor and privilege to be a part of some of the most precious moments in a family’s life. My goals are to educate, share “evidence-based” knowledge, provide my tips as a mother, and help families reach their own “personal” breastfeeding & sleep goals. Breastfeeding is natural and has numerous benefits to both mother and baby, but it is not always easy. I have helped mothers with proper breastfeeding management, latching, positioning, engorgement, oversupply, low supply, thrush, plugged ducts, ankyloglossia (tongue-tie), pumping, slow weight gain, and more. I have also served as a Consultant at three breastfeeding support groups throughout the County. Bringing home a new baby can be stressful at times, but breastfeeding and getting healthy sleep doesn’t have to be. I can help! I am also a Certified Child Sleep Consultant (CSC) through the Family Sleep Institute. Establishing healthy sleep habits is just as important as nutrition for your child. I am sure you are totally overwhelmed by all of the conflicting information, sleep books, and advice from friends, on top of being an exhausted parent, I can help ease your fears about sleep training. To say I am excited to start helping families get the sleep they deserve is an understatement! I cannot wait to merge my two worlds of lactation and sleep consulting and be able to offer my clients more services. I am so excited to start this new chapter in my life with you and your family!
