I believe that positive birth experiences matter. A mama is able to have a positive birth experience when she feels safe and supported. We have the power to change society one birth at a time. By empowering women and elevating the birth experience in the Western world to value life as a phenomenal rite of passage, transformation can happen for both – mama + baby. I bring conscious care to the community by providing physical and emotional support, advocacy, as well as educational, non-medical, information to the birthing families. I'm here to provide you with tools. I'm here to give you those positive reflections of the little accomplishments, even when there are experiences or feelings that seem grueling. I'm here because our healthcare system doesn't provide you with a continuity of care. I’m here to provide you with community, bonding and support that will leave you feeling empowered and independent. I'm here to fill in the gap that is missing in the United States medical practice. I am here to provide continual emotional, physical and informational support for the mother and partner throughout the birthing year. I am here to hold space. I am here to create a safe container for you to go where you need to go, yet completely be seen. I will be your piller of strength. I am here not for clinical purposes or medical practices. I am here to provide you with continuity of care. I am here to foster self-determination INSIDE OF YOU. Most importantly, I'm here to empower you throughout the entirety of your birth experience. When I’m not supporting families through their prenatal, birth + postpartum experiences, I spend time working on my farm in Willamina - North Coast Pastures, as well as practice + teach yoga locally - West Valley Yoga. My life as the youngest of six has led me to always being around families in transition with tiny humans. This prompted me to spend years working in childcare and preschool education. After working in a holistic women’s center, and being surrounded by women supporting women, supporting women, I discovered the role of the doula in the community. I was overwhelmed with passion as I understood where my spirit has taken me, finally. Whatever the setting of your journey, it is the feeling of being safe and supported by others present that matters. I'm here to be present for you.
