I'm Alessandra, The Sentimental Companion. I consider myself to be a intuitive and allow it to guide me while supporting a birth. I appreciate and honor how everyone's body, and birth is different allowing for a great need for adaptability, which I find to be fun and educational. I have always been intrigued by birth as a child and did not quite know where my interest would take me until I had my own daughter at the age of 38. In addition to my interest in birth, I have always gravitated to yoga and energy work. It is my goal to integrate the two during pregnancy to assist in having a mind, body and spirit connection during labor. The most wonderful birth I have attended are the ones where can 1st hand see the effects of this connection regardless of the outcome. There are so many things I love about being a birth work. The 1st is getting to whiteness a family being born. The look of adoration, love and pride from the supporting partner towards the birthing partner, along with the sense of accomplishment and gratitude from the birthing parent, is realy what makes it all worth it. The 2nd this I love about birth is not only empowering the birthing parent, but empowering the supporting partner, by giving them the tools need to be present and focused.
